Well, here I am in my fuzzy socks and a cup of tea, finishing up some edits and so happy for everything this new year is shaping up to be with exciting projects. I am feeling the SURGE of energy building and if you stick around on my platforms you’ll see what I’m talking about!
After the rush of the holidays it always feels good to take January to regroup and refresh for a year full of ideas, a fresh take on family life and what that means for all of you from year to year. Some years your families get bigger and I get to hold your sweet babies. If I’m really lucky I get to see them come into the world. Guys, it never gets old. I always cry at the miracle. I always marvel at your strength. This year I got to see a brave mother place a baby in your arms and witnessed the ultimate sacrifice of love as well as the palpable partnership and unspoken rules of parenthood.
Sometimes there are goodbyes and I SO miss the laughter of the kids that went to college or left home on their own adventures, but I’m so grateful that you take me on this journey with you, that I get to see you all progress in every which way, and that when you are all together again you think of me. I am lucky to be in your lives and I don’t take it for granted.
To all my newcomers in 2022…I can’t wait to meet you! I can’t wait to know you and see the reasons you get up in the morning! I can’t wait to make an image for you that reminds you of the here and now. Because it has arrived and you are in it!
